Fidatto started as an idea by our founder, Fiona Schlachter. She saw her friends asking for recommendations and getting lots of great responses via their Facebook wall. However, these disappeared as new posts were added. She thought that someone should create an app to store the recommendations so that you could find what you need when you need it. Fidatto was born!

Since we focus on recommendations, not reviews, you see only positive comments so that you can get to the good stuff fast!

The name Fidatto is based on the Italian phrase for trust - fidato di. We wanted to convey trust in the brand of our application since that is the basis of what we do and using a stylized version of this seems like it fit just right.

Title Filanthropy

Donate your Opinions, We’ll Donate the Dollars

Aside from helping yourself, your friends and the local businesses you recommend, using Fidatto also benefits your community. Give 5 minutes of your time to post 5 recommendations (within one day) and Fidatto will give $5 to a local charity. That’s the 5-5-5 promise. Users decide where the money should go (opt in for updates or check our Facebook page to find out when to cast your vote), so it’s truly a group effort for a great cause. Read more about the current organizations for Denver and Boulder.
